Before You Begin
Confirm Your Device and Usage Needs
Before you begin, identify your main devices and the regions of the services you use most often. VPNYQ supports Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux, with no device-count limit. You can import the subscription to multiple devices you own, but the subscription link is equivalent to an access credential and should be stored only on trusted devices.
If you mainly browse, research information, and use AI Tools, start by setting up your most-used device rather than configuring every platform at once. When switching between desktop and mobile, import the same subscription into the appropriate client on each device. You do not need to start by studying protocol names: choose a node matching the service region, confirm that it connects, and adjust based on actual performance.
This page keeps only the shortest workable path. Protocol differences, route types, subscription maintenance, and complex troubleshooting can interrupt initial setup, so they are covered in the Complete Guide and Help Center. For now, prepare a valid payment method and a password manager that can store your username and password.
Account
Create a Username and Password
Open the VPNYQ user panel and go to the account creation page. The requirement is straightforward: enter a username and set a password—no email address is required. Use the username to sign in to the user panel later, and the password to protect your plans, orders, and subscription details. We recommend using a unique password reserved for this site and saving it securely before submitting.
After submission, you will enter the user panel. If the page remains on the sign-in screen, use the username and password you just created. Your first priority after signing in is to activate a plan, not to look for routes; without an active plan, no usable subscription will appear in Account Overview. Do not copy unknown configurations from other pages or treat example addresses as real subscriptions.
Once the account is created, keep the user panel open and go straight to the plans section. When you change devices later, you do not need to create another account—just sign in to the same user panel to retrieve your client access point and subscription details again.
Plans
Choose Data and Place Your Order
In the plans section, first distinguish monthly subscriptions from data packages. Monthly subscriptions include ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, and ¥28/month with 500GB; data resets monthly on the activation date. Data packages use the total amount purchased, remain available until depleted, and never expire. For your first setup, choose based on everyday usage and frequency—you do not need to change tiers for more routes.
After selecting a plan, the order page shows your selection and the amount due. Confirm the details, then choose an available payment method from Alipay, WeChat, or USDT. After payment, return to the user panel to check the order status; once the order is active, subscription details will appear in Account Overview. If payment is complete but the overview has not updated, refresh the user panel instead of creating the same order again.
When upgrading a monthly subscription mid-cycle, the price difference is converted based on the remaining days. For initial setup, choose the data tier that meets your current needs and adjust it later based on actual usage. All plans support unlimited devices and include a 7-day no-questions-asked refund. See the plans page for a fuller comparison of monthly subscriptions and data packages; billing details are outside this guide.
Subscription
Get Your Subscription Link from Account Overview
Once your plan is active, open Account Overview and find the subscription section. The page provides your current subscription and client access points. Click to copy the subscription link, keep it temporarily in the system clipboard, and go directly to the client for your platform to import it. You do not need to open the link in a browser address bar; it is meant to be read by a compatible client as route configuration.
Addresses shown in tutorials or screenshots are format examples only, such as:
https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN
The address above does not connect to VPNYQ and contains no real subscription information. For actual use, copy the link from your own Account Overview. Do not send the subscription link in public chats, forums, code repositories, or shared documents. If you suspect someone else has seen it, stop sharing it and handle the issue through the user panel or support ticket channel.
Account Overview is also the place to maintain your subscription later. When changing devices, reinstalling a client, or finding that the route list has not updated for a long time, return here first to confirm that your plan is still active, then copy the subscription again. After copying it, continue to the section for your device type below; you do not need to repeat the process for every platform.
Windows
Import a Desktop Client
On Windows, sign in to the client download section in the user panel and get the Windows client provided by the site. The marketing page does not provide a static installer URL; the client access point and subscription are available in the signed-in panel. After installation, launch the client and look for “Subscription Manager,” “Add Subscription,” or “Import from URL” in the main interface or sidebar.
In the subscription section, give the subscription a recognizable name, then paste the link copied from Account Overview into the URL field. Save it and select “Update Subscription” or “Refresh.” After a successful import, the main interface will show nodes organized by region or route type. If the list is empty, first check that nothing was omitted while pasting, then return to Account Overview and copy the link again.
Once routes appear, choose a node in your usual region and click Connect. Some Windows clients request permission to create a system proxy or VPN configuration during the first connection; allow it when prompted. After the connection succeeds, do not rush to change protocols, split tunneling, or advanced rules. Complete the connection check below first, then personalize the setup if needed.
macOS
Allow Configuration and Update Routes
The macOS process is similar to Windows. First, get the macOS client from the signed-in download section and install it. When opening it for the first time, if the system asks you to confirm the app source or grant network configuration permission, follow the prompts in System Settings, then return to the client. Without the required permissions, the client cannot establish a connection even if the subscription imports successfully.
Open Subscription Manager in the client, choose Add from URL, paste the subscription link copied from Account Overview, and save it. Then update the subscription and wait for the route list to load. Once you see the region names, choose a node matching the service region. Do not enable multiple proxy or network-control tools at the same time, as they may override one another’s traffic paths.
After clicking Connect, macOS may display a confirmation for a system-level VPN configuration. Allow it, then check the connection status in the menu bar or client. If the connection appears and then drops, try another route in the same region. If no route connects, visit the Help Center for the recommended order of checks covering permissions, system networking, and client status.
Android
Import the Subscription and Grant Connection Permission
On Android, first check the corresponding client access point in the user panel. After installing and opening a compatible client, look for “Subscription,” “Configuration,” or “Import from Clipboard” in the home menu. Choose URL import, paste the subscription link you just copied, save it, and run one manual update to confirm that the node names appear in the list.
When you choose a node and start the connection, the system displays a prompt authorizing a VPN connection. This system permission is required for the client to manage network traffic on the device. After confirmation, the client can continue. If you deny permission, the node will not start; click Connect again to display the authorization prompt once more.
Some Android systems actively restrict background apps. During initial setup, keep the client in the foreground until the connection and verification are complete. If the connection later drops when switching apps, check background activity and battery-saving settings by system category in the Help Center. Avoid changing several system policies at once, or it will be difficult to identify the cause of a problem.
iOS
Add Configuration from URL
On iOS, sign in to the user panel first to review the currently available client options and import instructions. After opening a compatible client, choose “Add from URL,” usually found under Configuration, Subscription, or an add button on the home screen. Paste the subscription link copied from Account Overview into the appropriate field, save it, and update the subscription.
When the route list appears, choose the required region and click Connect. The first time the system establishes a connection, it will ask permission to add a VPN configuration. Follow the prompts and complete device verification. This confirmation is provided by iOS to write the client configuration into system network settings. Return to the client afterward and wait for the connection status to stabilize.
If the address is reported as invalid after pasting, return to Account Overview and copy it again, making sure no spaces or characters are missing at either end. If the subscription updates but the connection is not established, you do not need to repeatedly delete it; try another node and check whether the system has allowed the VPN configuration. More detailed iOS permission and reinstallation steps are available in the Help Center.
Connection
Choose a Route and Verify It
After importing, choose a region based on the service you want to use. For services in Japan, try a Japan route first; for services in the United States, try a US route first. AI Tools and Streaming should likewise keep the account region, content region, and exit route aligned whenever possible. Frequent region changes may trigger additional verification from the target service, so keep your selection stable during initial use.
After clicking Connect, check that the client status changes from Connecting to Connected. Then open a browser and visit the international website you need, confirm that the page loads normally, and check whether the exit region matches the selected node. A reachable page, matching exit region, and stable client status generally confirm that the setup is working.
If the client says Connected but the target website still shows its previous state, close the site’s old tabs and open it again. If necessary, clear that site’s cache and session before retrying. If one node cannot access the site, do not immediately delete the client or create another account; switch to another route in the same region first. VPNYQ covers 110+ countries and 250+ routes, so a region typically offers multiple route choices.
If no node connects, check in this order: plan status, subscription update, system authorization, and local network. Confirm that the plan is active, manually update the subscription, verify that the system allows the client to establish a connection, and finally try another network. If the issue persists, open the Help Center and submit a clear description and the error details under the relevant platform.
After Setup
Keep One Stable Everyday Configuration
After verifying the first connection, keep the currently working route as your everyday choice; you do not need to change regions every time you start the client. Subscription updates and route connections serve different purposes: updating retrieves the latest route list, while connecting makes the device use the selected route. Update the subscription when route names change or the list has not refreshed for a long time.
Use the subscription link again only when adding a device, reinstalling a client, or restoring a configuration. There is no need to copy it repeatedly, and it should not be saved as an ordinary web bookmark. Check plan, order, and subscription status in the user panel; monthly subscription data resets each month on the activation date, while data packages remain available until depleted and never expire.
Your basic setup is now complete. To understand the differences between Shadowsocks, VMess, and Trojan, or to work with split tunneling, fixed exit routes, and cross-device maintenance, continue with the Complete Guide. For everyday use, keep the client and subscription list up to date, choose a route matching the service region, and troubleshoot problems in the recommended order.
